We use the author–date citation system.

Parenthetical Citations

Here is an example on how to format citations in text (Author, 2022).

Multiple Authors

If you cite two authors, put an ampersand (&) between the two names (Koeler & Avery, 1994). If there are three or more authors, only name the first author and write 'et al.' for the others (Koeler et al., 2000).

Narrative Citations

Sometimes, citations are narrative. For example: Koehler (2016) noted the dangers of falsely balanced news coverage.
